Essentials about the A’DAM Tower in brief

The A’DAM Tower is one of Amsterdam’s newest attractions. The 22-story tower on the north side of the IJ has been around since 1971, but until 2009 it was the headquarters of oil multinational Shell. After that, the A’DAM Tower was rebuilt and since 2016 has offered the public a mix of offices, cafés, restaurants (including one that rotates), and an observation deck where adrenaline junkies can enjoy Europe’s highest swing.

The A’DAM LOOKOUT

The main attraction is the A’DAM LOOKOUT, the observation deck at the top of the tower, from which you can enjoy an unsurpassed panoramic view of Amsterdam. One overlooks both the historic center of the city with its unique canal belt and the extraordinary Dutch polder landscape.

If the view from lofty heights isn’t spectacular enough for you, you can get another kick of a special kind on the A’DAM LOOKOUT. “Over The Edge” is the name of Europe’s highest swing, and the name says it all. Daredevils and adrenaline junkies swing over the edge of the A’DAM Tower at a height of 100 meters and enjoy Amsterdam at their feet (as long as they don’t have their eyes closed).
