If you want to take a break from shopping in the Dubai Mall, you can visit the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, located directly in the mall. The aquarium’s gigantic 51-meter-wide, 20-meter-wide, 11-meter-high tank holds 10 million liters of water and is home to more than 30,000 sea creatures from over 140 different species. 300 sharks and rays alone cavort in the massive tank. Visitors can walk through a glass tunnel and see themselves surrounded by luminescent jellyfish, sea anemones and many rare fish. On the second floor of the zoo, there are exhibitions and several smaller aquariums.
