Essentials about the AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin in brief
The AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin offers visitors exciting insights into the world of the oceans. With true-to-life pools and a glass deep-sea tunnel, the journey takes you through numerous native and tropical habitats – from the sources of the Spree River to the depths of the Atlantic Ocean and the tropics. You can see the fascinating biodiversity of the underwater world with over 5,000 marine creatures, such as seahorses, rays and sharks, in 17 different themed areas.
The AquaDom
The highlight of SEA LIFE is the so-called AquaDom. With a height of 16 meters, a diameter of 11.5 meters and a capacity of over 1 million liters of water, it is the largest free-standing cylindrical aquarium in the world. And it gets even more spectacular! In the center of the cylinder, visitors can ride a glass elevator through the interior of the AquaDom and experience the coral reef habitat with about 1,500 fish up close without diving equipment.
