CIRCULAR QUAY

Description

Essentials about Circular Quay in brief

Anyone visiting Sydney will inevitably end up at Circular Quay sooner or later. Because if the city has anything like a focal point, it is the pulsating quay on the northern edge of the city center. Circular Quay is the central transportation hub for ferries, water cabs, buses, trains and cabs. From here, ferries take you to all of Sydney’s waterfront destinations, such as Cockatoo Island, Manly, and Taronga Zoo. Buses and trains go to all parts of the city.

The sights around Circular Quay

In addition, some of Sydney’s top sights are within a short walk of Circular Quay. On the west side of the small bay off Quay are The Rocks, Sydney’s oldest neighborhood, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Sydney Observatory, and the world-famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. On the east side are the legendary Sydney Opera House and the wonderful Royal Botanic Gardens.

Gastronomy and entertainment at Circular Quay

Besides the great view of the harbor, the many cafes and restaurants make up the charm of Circular Quay. Especially in the direction of the Opera House, there are a number of restaurants with wonderful terraces from which you can watch the hustle and bustle in the harbor. And entertainment is also always provided at Circular Quay. Because the quay is the absolute hotspot for street musicians. From guitarists to singers to didgeridoo players, a wide variety of musical talents perform here.
