Essentials about the Hofgarten in brief

The Innsbrucker Hofgarten (Court Garden) is a listed park on the edge of the old town, directly opposite the Hofburg (Imperial Palace). During its 600-year existence, the park grounds underwent a number of radical changes, ranging from a former riparian zone to a Renaissance and Baroque garden and a current English-style landscape park.

Today, the Hofgarten is the local recreation area for Innsbruckers in the middle of the city center and invites you to take a walk, chill out or have a coffee in one of its cafés. In the garden’s palm house (Palmenhaus) you can see a plant collection of approximately 1,700 species.
