STADTTURM INNSBRUCK

Description

Essentials about the Stadtturm Innsbruck in brief

The Rathausturm (City Hall Tower), mostly called Stadtturm (City Tower), is one of the most striking buildings in Innsbruck and, alongside the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof), is the landmark of Innsbruck’s old Town. The tower was added to the old town hall in the middle of the 15th century. It is a Gothic building enclosed in a row of houses. Through the historic town hall, you can get to the tower’s 31 meter high observation deck, from which a magnificent view opens up over the medieval alleys of Innsbruck’s old town to the Nordkette mountain range in the north and the Bergisel and Patscherkofel mountains in the south.
