SEX MACHINES MUSEUM

Description

Essentials about the Sex Machines Museum in brief

Nowadays, a sex museum is really nothing out of the ordinary. But with its own museum for sex machines, Prague has an absolutely unique museum to offer. If you want to find out what erotic devices exist all over the world and how they have developed over time, this museum is the right place for you. On display, however, are not only devices to increase sexual pleasure, but also machines that are supposed to do the opposite. Thus, in the museum you can see not only dildos and intimate jewelry, but also medieval chastity rings and anti-masturbation devices from the 20th century.

The exhibition of the Sex Machines Museum

Curiously, the Sex Machines Museum is located amidst the many historical sights of Prague’s old town. On three floors you have to explore and understand over 300 sex machines – which is by no means easy with some of the exhibits. Fortunately, the museum operators have taken the trouble to set up dolls at some of the machines for better illustration. So you get to see a wide range of historical and contemporary sex machines in the museum.

From prostitute shoes from ancient Greece and chastity belts from the 16th century to penetration machines made of wood, a chair for golden shower games, intimate jewelry for female and male genitals in all imaginable variations, dildos of all sizes and shapes to devices from the field of S&M and bondage, the museum offers a comprehensive overview of erotic tools that are (supposed to be) fun and maybe also hurt a little.

Of course, a museum of sex machines should not be without a movie theater. Some of the world’s first porn films are shown on the first floor of the museum. If you find a black and white silent movie from the 1920s stimulating, you should spend a few minutes in the cinema.
