MORI ART MUSEUM

Description

Essentials about the Mori Art Museum in brief

Fans of modern art should pay a visit to the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. Located on the 53rd floor of the Mori Tower in the center of Roppongi Hills, the museum exhibits modern Japanese and international art, but does not have its own collection. Because of the fabulous view that you can enjoy from here from 250 meters above the ground, the museum is also visited by many people who do not care so much about art.

The exhibitions at the Mori Art Museum

The Mori Art Museum aims to present modern art on an international level – with Asia as its center – under the motto “Art and Live”. The museum aims to bring together lifestyle and art. However, with contemporary art at the center, other art disciplines such as photography, design, fashion and architecture will also be considered.

The museum has an exhibition area of 2,000 square meters, which can be flexibly arranged depending on the exhibition. Exhibitions rotate every two to three months. The museum also includes the Mori Art Center Gallery, which is located one floor below the museum and offers a magnificent panoramic view of Tokyo’s gigantic sea of houses. Together with the National Art Center Tokyo and the Suntory Art Museum, the Mori Art Museum forms the so-called “Roppongi Art Triangle”.
