ROPPONGI HILLS

Description

Essentials about Roppongi Hills in brief

Roppongi Hills is, in a sense, a city within a city. Opened in 2003 in the heart of the Roppongi district of the same name, the complex houses the offices of many well-known companies, stores, restaurants, a hotel, an art museum, an observation deck and much more. The centerpiece of Roppongi Hills is the 238-meter Mori Tower, one of Tokyo’s tallest buildings. The top floors of the tower are home to the Mori Art Museum and an observation deck, from which you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Japanese capital.

The complex of Roppongi Hills

Around Mori Tower are some lower buildings, where mainly stores and restaurants are located. Behind Mori Tower is Roppongi Keyakizaka Street, which is known mainly for its luxury stores. Roppongi Hills is not just made up of buildings, however. About half of the complex is made up of gardens, pavilions and other open spaces. Those who want to stretch their legs a bit in the greenery can do so in the neighboring Mori Garden.
