The exhibition in the Diamond Museum Amsterdam

Until the middle of the 20th century, Amsterdam was the most important trading and processing center for diamonds in the world. In this respect, it was only logical that the city got a diamond museum in 2007. It is located in a 19th-century villa on Museumplein and presents all kinds of interesting facts about the origin, mining, trade and processing of diamonds. In addition to historical processing equipment, replicas of the 22 most famous diamonds in the world are on display, and films of spectacular diamond thefts can be seen.

The Diamond Museum is owned by the owner of the neighboring Coster Diamonds diamond processing plant. It is therefore also connected to the Coster Diamonds buildings, where museum visitors can watch employees cutting and polishing gemstones and, of course, purchase jewelry products.
