SKANSEN-AKVARIET

Description

Essentials about the Skansen-Akvariet in brief

Skansen-Akvariet (Skansen Aquarium) is a small aquarium on the grounds of the Skansen open-air museum. Here visitors can discover dozens of exotic animal species on land, in water and in the air. A welcome change from the program of the Skansen museum.

The animals at Skansen-Akvariet

In the Skansen aquarium, visitors can discover around 200 exotic animal species, including fish, crocodiles, turtles, lizards, snakes, naked mole rats, marmosets, golden lion tamarins, baboons, lemurs, spiders and parrots. Visitors even have access to some of the animals, such as those in the children’s rainforest.

Since its opening in 1978, the aquarium has been repeatedly rebuilt and expanded with new animals and experiences. If you want a really special experience, you can feed the monkeys and guenons as well as the stingrays and small sharks together with an animal keeper.
