Anyone who manages to turn a sleepy fishing village called Dubai into a world metropolis of superlatives within a few decades naturally also manages to make the desert bloom. And that is exactly what has been achieved with Dubai Miracle Garden. Located about 30 minutes by car outside the city center, the park is the largest flower garden in the world, with over 45 million flowers on 72,000 square meters.

As the name suggests, Dubai Miracle Garden is truly a miracle. The flowers shining in all colors of the rainbow make you feel like you have landed in another world outside the desert. What makes Dubai Mircale Garden so special is its layout. Here, flowers were not simply planted, but arranged in an architecturally impressive way as flowering archways, pyramids, stars, hearts, houses and even airplanes. Some things may seem a bit kitschy, but that is also part of the Miracle Gardens program.

Visiting the Dubai Miracle Garden

Due to the intense heat in the summer months, Dubai Miracle Garden is closed from early May to October. Generally, a visit is recommended in the morning or evening hours, when the sun is still quite bearable in the hilly park. It becomes especially romantic after dark, when the Miracle Garden is atmospherically illuminated.

The Dubai Butterfly Garden

And not only flower lovers get their money’s worth in Dubai Miracle Garden, but also butterfly fans. Since 2015, Dubai Butterfly Garden has been located next to the flower garden. With over 15,000 butterflies from more than 25 species, it is of course the largest butterfly park in the world (we are in Dubai, after all).
