QUEEN’S GALLERY

Description

Essentials about the Queen’s Gallery in brief

The Queen’s Gallery is one of the few areas of Buckingham Palace open to the public. It is an art museum where paintings, pieces of furniture, decorative objects and photographs from the royal collection are displayed on a rotating basis. Around 450 exhibits can be seen at any one time in the Queen’s Gallery exhibition. The Gallery first opened its doors to the public in 1962. From 1999 to 2002, the Queen’s Gallery was significantly expanded to increase the exhibition space.
